The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are sharing happy pictures of a recent skiing trip to the French Alps, their first family holiday since the birth of Princess Charlotte.

Kensington Palace released a series of pictures of the royal couple dressed in ski gear posing with Prince George, now two years old, and little Charlotte, 10 months old.

Along with the posed photos were a few shots of Prince William and Kate having a snowball fight.

“This was their first holiday as a family of four and the first time either of the children have played in the snow,” the palace noted in a tweet early Monday.

The “short ski break” happened without fanfare last week, Kensington Palace said, but did not reveal the precise destination.

Unlike past royal ski holidays, the palace invited only one photographer from the Press Association to capture photos of the family, rather than giving permissions to a group of photographers to record the trip.
