The results of three ridings from Tuesday's federal election are still in question and recounts have been ordered, according to Elections Canada.

In P.E.I.'s Egmont riding, Gail Shea won the Tories their first seat on the island since the Brian Mulroney years. She won by just 62 votes over Liberal Keith Milligan, who requested the recount.

It will be conducted on Oct. 23 by a judge of the provincial Supreme Court.

Another newly-crowned Tory MP faces a recount. Peter Braid took Ontario's Kitchener-Waterloo riding from Liberal Andrew Telegdi by only 48 votes.

That margin is tight enough to trigger an automatic recount in an Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

Former B.C. premier Ujjal Dosanjh barely held his Liberal seat, winning by only 33 votes in his Vancouver South riding over Tory Wai Young.

That result was also close enough to trigger an automatic recount.
