Toronto FC fans were despondent after a hard-fought season ended with a loss to the Seattle Sounders in the MLS Cup Final at BMO Field on Saturday night.
This season, more so than any other in the club’s 10-year history, has awakened a newfound sense of pride among die-hard fans who stuck with the franchise through its lean years.
Saturday’s game was the first time a Canadian team competed in the league’s championship final.
