OTTAWA - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has expanded a recall of products made by an Edmonton-area sandwich maker.

The agency is warning the public not to eat two kinds of Hygaard Fine Foods subs because they may be contaminated with Listeria. The suspect sandwiches include Hygaard Lumberjack and Little John subs with best-before dates of Jan. 30.

The products have been distributed in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories.

The agency says there have been no reports of anyone getting sick from eating the subs.

A warning went out earlier this month to watch out for some other Hygaard products, including mini pizzas and Little John subs with best-before dates of Feb. 10.

Last September, Hygaard recalled 16 sandwiches, including some of the same ones now on the suspect list.
