MONTREAL - MySpace.com is offering millions of free songs to visitors to its social networking website.

MySpace Music already has four of the largest music labels on board, including EMI Music, Sony BMG, Universal Music and Warner Music.

This new music-focused site will take on Apple's iTunes and help the major labels counter declining CD sales and revenues as they adapt to a world of online music.

It will also let its users buy music, offer the sale of concert tickets and merchandise, and will also make money from the venture with advertisements.

MySpace is already known for its music, with many artists having pages on the social networking site.
