Noushin Ziafati is a digital writer-producer at CTVNews.ca. She joined the team in May 2023.
She previously worked as a reporter at The Canadian Press in Ontario, The Chronicle Herald in Nova Scotia and Telegraph-Journal in New Brunswick. She also worked as a freelance associate producer at CBC Radio.
Noushin holds a bachelor of journalism from Toronto Metropolitan University. In her time working in the field of journalism, she has covered major news stories such as the Nova Scotia mass shooting, the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2022 Ontario provincial election and the Freedom Convoy protests.
In 2021, she received a gold Atlantic Journalism Award in the newspaper feature category for a story she wrote about an asylum seeker working at a long-term care institution in Nova Scotia that was rocked by COVID-19.
