People caught in the streets of Paris without a place to stay in the wake of Friday’s terrorist attacks are being offered shelter by complete strangers.
The hashtag #PorteOuverte, which translates to #DoorOpen is trending on social media sites like Twitter, with some people asking for places to stay and others offering up their beds and couches.
This man offered a bedroom to “anyone who needs help” in the 14th arrondisement:

Taxis were offering free journeys to homes and hotels, according to @PorteOuverteFRA.
The hashtag soon spread around the world. These women offered help to those stuck in U.S. airports:
