Al Pacino says being a new dad at 84 is a 'mini miracle'
Al Pacino is enjoying being a late-in-life dad.
The legendary actor talked about being a father to a brood, including to 16-month-old Roman with producer Noor Alfallah, in a new interview with .
鈥淚t鈥檚 just so wonderful to have children,鈥 the 84-year-old father of four said.
鈥淔or me, I loved it,鈥 Pacino said. 鈥淚t changed me for, if you want to say, the better. It changed me for life. And the idea that you鈥檙e throwing your focus on other humans who happen to be your children 鈥 there鈥檚 the love.鈥
He is also the father of Julie, 34, with acting coach Jan Tarrant, and twins Anton and Olivia, 23, with actress Beverly D鈥橝ngelo.
鈥淭he Godfather鈥 star reflected on having a new baby as an octogenerian.
鈥淲ell, it鈥檚 always the same. It鈥檚 always the same,鈥 he said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a mini miracle. That鈥檚 all I can say.鈥
Pacino has written a new memoir, titled 鈥淪onny Boy.鈥
He told the in a recent interview that having his youngest was part of his inspiration to pen the book.
鈥淭hat鈥檚 one of the reasons, of course,鈥 he said. 鈥淎nd that has been a campaign for me to stick around a little longer, if it鈥檚 possible.鈥
鈥淪onny Boy鈥 will be published on October 15.
