Police in Barrie, Ont., are investigating after a local churchâs website was hacked by someone proclaiming support for the Islamic State terror group and calling for the elimination of America.
Someone posted what appears to be the ISIS logo and wrote âI love you ISISâ on the Inniswood Baptist Church website Monday afternoon.
A long, difficult-to-decipher message calling for the destruction of America was also posted on the site, along with images of fighter jets and bloody victims of attacks.
Itâs not known how long those messages and pictures remained on the churchâs website, but the page was restored back to normal by late Monday afternoon.
When contacted by CTV Barrie, a church representative said they were unaware of the hack. Barrie Police said theyâve received a complaint about the incident and are now investigating.
